Modeled after traditional basket stands used to mount snare drums, the Meinl Sonic Energy Handpan Stand features three padded arms to cradle your handpan safely and securely (also perfect for steel tongue drums). The stand is made of steel with double braced tripod legs that provide a sturdy foundation for any handpan or steel tongue drum, and it’s finished with black powder coating for a warm look that can blend with the aesthetic of your space. The end of each arm is outfitted with a thick rubber pad that avoids scratching your drum and cuts out unwanted vibrations while maintaining full resonance—these pads also feature notches to hold mallets for a steel tongue drum. You can also adjust the amount of spread in the arms by turning the dial located directly below the arm basket base. Bring them closer together for smaller drums and spread them out for larger drums. Engineered for a standing position, this stand has an adjustable height range from 28" minimum up to 39" maximum. Once the height is set, use the tilter below the basket to find the right angle for you. Heavy-duty, non-slip feet give the stand a solid feel and protect sensitive floor surfaces from scratching.
